One week before
- Sort what you are taking, selling or giving away. Less to move means a smaller truck and a lower fare.
- Collect cartons, tape, old newspaper and bedsheets for wrapping.
- Ask both your old and new building about goods-vehicle rules: entry passes, allowed hours and where a truck can park.
- Arrange people to help with loading and unloading. LoadGo loaders are coming soon and are not available yet.
Choose the right truck
The Tata Ace carries up to 750 kg and suits a single room, a PG or most 1 BHK moves. The Pick-up carries up to 1000 kg and suits a 2 BHK with larger furniture and appliances.
If you are unsure, enter your pickup and drop in the fare check to compare both trucks. See our Tata Ace vs Pick-up guide for more detail.
Two or three days before
- Pack everything you will not need before the move, starting with books, decor and off-season clothes.
- Label each carton with the room it goes to and mark fragile ones clearly.
- Dismantle beds and large furniture where possible, and keep the screws in a labelled bag.
- Defrost and dry the fridge, and disconnect the washing machine.
- Book your truck for a time when both buildings allow goods vehicles.
On moving day
- Keep your phone with you so the driver can call to confirm the pickup point.
- Have everything packed and near the door before the truck arrives. Waiting charges apply.
- Load heavy items first and fragile cartons last, on top.
- Carry documents, jewellery, cash and medicines with you, not in the truck.
- Track the truck live in the app and check that everything is unloaded before the driver leaves.
Costs to plan
The fare is based on road distance: ₹100 per km for the Tata Ace and ₹150 per km for the Pick-up. Waiting charges and toll charges apply and are added to the fare. You can pay in cash or online.
